Because learning sprouts from questions!
FarmzStory is a community of passionate urban-farming educators turning schools into green learning spaces. Through hands-on experiences, students bond with nature, grow life skills, and have fun along the way — that’s what Bond · Grow · Fun is all about.
We began as a group of graduates from the Digital Agritech Programme with one dream — to make farming a part of everyday learning. Today, that spark has grown into a movement nurturing curiosity across schools island-wide.
Because small doesn’t mean simple. Little Sparrow is our compact classroom farm that lets every student experience the wonder of growing food without needing acres of land.
Your garden grows plants — Little Sparrow grows possibilities.
It adds modular beds, smart irrigation, and solar-powered features, turning a garden into an interactive farm lab where learning truly takes root.
Each Sparrow is crafted with lightweight aluminium frames, UV-protected netting, irrigation piping, and eco-friendly planters — sturdy enough for years of use, gentle on the environment.
Just right for young farmers!
Each set includes six grow beds (about 4 m × 1 m) — compact enough for courtyards yet productive enough to yield 75–90 vegetables per cycle.
We recommend premium potting soil. It’s clean, classroom-friendly, and ideal for leafy greens and herbs.
Sunlight, access to water, and level ground are key.
Our team will visit and guide you — together we’ll find the perfect sunny nook for your mini-farm to thrive.
Yes — we offer optional paid training workshops for students and teachers led by our MOE-registered trainers. Each session is designed to make learning hands-on and memorable. We can also guide your school on setting up a simple framework to continue growing after installation.
LearninYes, we provide optional paid maintenance plans for schools that prefer regular system checks and troubleshooting. Alternatively, we can train your Eco Club or Green Ambassadors to take over daily care confidently.
Yes! We offer several farm systems to fit your space and learning goals — soil-based, hydroponic, or even microgreen setups.
Our team will help you choose the best model during consultation.
That depends on the setup you choose.
Soil-based farms can be kept organic-friendly, while hydroponic systems use A & B nutrient solutions and are considered non-organic — but still safe, clean, and ideal for learning. We’ll help you pick the best fit for your objectives.
Absolutely! You can enhance your system anytime with IoT sensors, solar panels, or additional grow beds — just like levelling up your farm’s tech tree.
Singapore’s 30 by 30 vision has been extended to 2035, giving more room for innovation. Every mini-farm contributes by cultivating students who understand food security, sustainability, and the joy of growing their own food.
Leafy greens such as kailan, chye sim, and lettuce are top picks — fast-growing, hearty, and rewarding for beginners. Once confident, students can experiment with herbs or other crops.
Definitely! Many teachers discover new lesson ideas after getting their hands dirty. We can arrange train-the-trainer sessions to help integrate farming into science or character-building lessons.
The farm stays — and so does the spirit.
Schools often continue with Green Ambassador teams or VIA projects, keeping the cycle of growth and care alive all year.
Do plants really grow better with music or love?
We think so! Science says sound waves can help, but a little love never hurts.
What’s the funniest thing students say?
“I didn’t know veggies take so much effort!”
“My veggies are grown with sweat and tears now lol.”
— straight from our Bootcamp journals!
Every question we get — even the silly ones — reminds us that curiosity is where learning begins.
And that’s what keeps our gardens growing.
